Losing track of time

I’ve lost count of the number of photo sessions I’ve had with this family. I do know that the first time, T was pushed in the swing and A was just beginning to crawl. So here we are with some moments from the 2019 session that show just how much time has moved on. This is one of the loveliest families you can meet. Mom and Dad are always super relaxed about the shoot which is wonderful. I like to keep the meet ups as open ended as possible with some ideas of what I might like to try but with the view that it might not happen. T usually likes to be at home for the photos ( I like routine too, T!). However this year we went elsewhere for a different look and it worked out really well. I love the portraits that we got and I hope that, once again, the family will as well! Gallery will be emailed to you this weekend.

High School Senior

Just completed the order from this Fall senior session. One of my favorites. Loved taking the portraits and preparing the images. Wishing this young lady the best of luck for the remainder of the school year and what lies beyond.

Double Fun

I’d like to wish this family a very Happy Holiday Season. I had the pleasure of meeting them twice this year. In the Spring we held a portrait session just for the twin girls. In the Fall we did it again for family portraits. The girls were such fun to photograph. Their bubbly character was certainly captured in the portraits.

“Tis The Season

No, not that season, the other one, high school senior portrait season! We are in the thick of it now.

For those with portrait sessions to come, we will have images ready in good time for you to make a selection for the school yearbook. For those viewing proof galleries now, please have your choices to me 7-10 days minimum ahead of the submission deadline. That gives me enough time to make the portraits look wonderful and leaves the last few days for those with the later bookings.

Here’s a couple of lovely portraits from a high school senior session held long before the chilly weather arrived.

Looking back and thinking ahead

Here’s a really great senior session from last Fall. I am currently preparing an order from this session. It’s always good to look back and forwards at the same time. Photo memories of your children can make you excited for what lies ahead. This young lady is now at college and I hope she’s having a great start to university life.

Littleton High School Class Of 2017

Your special day has arrived and I hope that the sun continues to shine for the ceremony this evening! I would like to wish all the Littleton High School Class Of 2017 much happiness, joy and success for their chosen paths in the years ahead. It was a delight meeting some of you this year and taking your portraits. It was also a privilege to know some of you as longstanding friends of my son. There’s one guy in this gallery who has been best friends with J since preschool. Good luck A. We hope to see you around for many years to come!

One Family Two Sessions

It’s been a while since I blogged but here is a family that I really enjoyed photographing. I first met Mom, Dad and son last Fall for a lovely outdoor session which is featured in another blog entry. It was great to revisit with them back in February at their home for a newborn family session with the arrival of their daughter. I combined portraits from both sessions here. I hope they are doing well and enjoying their summer.

Late Winter Session

I’m delving into past sessions for the next few blog entries simply because time with clients took my away from posting as much as I would have liked over the last year.

This session from last Winter was such a joy to do. It still remains one of my all time favorite sessions. I do not usually recommend family portraits in studio with younger kids as they find the area very restrictive. It is an even bigger challenge when it’s part of a newborn session. However these kids were so delightful and so engaging that everything just clicked. We got sibling moments, family portraits and newborn images. If kids are very relaxed and comfortable with new people and flashing lights then it can work out great as you see. Mom and dad were also wonderfully relaxed which is a great help when doing studio portraits. I think this baby will almost be one so it seems appropriate to send my birthday wishes via this blog!

New Year Wishes and Some Nostalgia Too!

My daughter recently informed me that the photograph of her sitting on my bedside table was well past its sell by date ( by two years to be exact) and that she was none too happy about this. With this is mind it was a relatively simple task to get her in studio for some new shots. When all said and done I realized that the new set up was very similar to one I did with her four years ago. So as well as looking forward this new year I am also looking back. Here is a mix of images of my daughter from 2011 and late 2015. Happy new year everyone. Remember take time to create family memories this year that you will cherish for years to come. I look forward to seeing some of you again in the near future.
