Losing track of time

I’ve lost count of the number of photo sessions I’ve had with this family. I do know that the first time, T was pushed in the swing and A was just beginning to crawl. So here we are with some moments from the 2019 session that show just how much time has moved on. This is one of the loveliest families you can meet. Mom and Dad are always super relaxed about the shoot which is wonderful. I like to keep the meet ups as open ended as possible with some ideas of what I might like to try but with the view that it might not happen. T usually likes to be at home for the photos ( I like routine too, T!). However this year we went elsewhere for a different look and it worked out really well. I love the portraits that we got and I hope that, once again, the family will as well! Gallery will be emailed to you this weekend.

High School Senior

Just completed the order from this Fall senior session. One of my favorites. Loved taking the portraits and preparing the images. Wishing this young lady the best of luck for the remainder of the school year and what lies beyond.

Double Fun

I’d like to wish this family a very Happy Holiday Season. I had the pleasure of meeting them twice this year. In the Spring we held a portrait session just for the twin girls. In the Fall we did it again for family portraits. The girls were such fun to photograph. Their bubbly character was certainly captured in the portraits.

“Tis The Season

No, not that season, the other one, high school senior portrait season! We are in the thick of it now.

For those with portrait sessions to come, we will have images ready in good time for you to make a selection for the school yearbook. For those viewing proof galleries now, please have your choices to me 7-10 days minimum ahead of the submission deadline. That gives me enough time to make the portraits look wonderful and leaves the last few days for those with the later bookings.

Here’s a couple of lovely portraits from a high school senior session held long before the chilly weather arrived.

One Family Two Sessions

It’s been a while since I blogged but here is a family that I really enjoyed photographing. I first met Mom, Dad and son last Fall for a lovely outdoor session which is featured in another blog entry. It was great to revisit with them back in February at their home for a newborn family session with the arrival of their daughter. I combined portraits from both sessions here. I hope they are doing well and enjoying their summer.

A Year On

It was great to meet up with this family again, a year after taking the newborn and family portraits. I am just rounding of my work on their order so I thought it a good time to blog. The one year old daughter was a little more busy this time around and as the session finished I suggested we try some final shots of her with the dog. There was a chance it may not work. Why would the dog want to stay still with all that park to run around in and why would a toddler want to take a break from exploring? It all came together nicely as you can see in the final portrait.

Double Feature

Recently I had the pleasure of working with this lovely family for two sessions. The first was outdoors when the star of the show was their eldest son. The newest addition to the family arrived shortly after and second son was the main attraction in studio. I put together some selections from both sessions here. It’s nice to see the contrast in mood between indoor and outdoor. Beautiful portraits.

Three friends

I thought I’d post these three girls together as they are all good friends at the same school. If I have some more time later I’ll add some more portraits from the each individual session. I really enjoyed all three sessions. The girls were really great to work with.

Message to the girls if they check out this post- Get busy picking your yearbook portrait! Not long until the deadline!

Summer Session

A very nice family to spend time photographing this summer. The little boy was full of smiles and as the Mom told me via email, there were too many good portraits to choose from! Here’s three I picked out and it was difficult to choose.

Portraits over the years

It is always a great pleasure and honor to be able to take portraits of my returning clients and to see how the children have grown over the intervening years. These two lovely girls are a case in point, I first photographed them back in 2008 and I delved into the archives of my blog to find their portraits from that session to see how much they’ve changed (see the last two photos below). This time we did an indoor studio session and the family dog made an appearance too. As much as they’ve grown one thing hadn’t changed – these sisters are still the most delightful subjects to photograph!
