More Sisters
Another sister session to show. These two were delightful and big sister was so bubbly. Here are some of their individual portraits.

Here’s another preview from last week. It was a very fun session with two sisters. I set up the bed in studio for the last set of portraits. This black and white image was the final shot taken and it was one of my favorites!
We have now added a bed as one of our studio set ups. Add one girl in a colorful tutu and the end results are some fresh bright portraits.

Ok so I come clean, my ’09 photo Christmas card of the children didn’t get printed. So here’s their winter portraits instead. Now I’ve just got to get friends and family to check this blog. I have a very dark upstairs living room but in winter the blanket of snow outside acts like one perfect giant reflector.
Back in studio for a session this week and it was lovely photographing these two sisters once again. We even did a few family portraits too. I love working on black an black portraits but the girls also brought along some gorgeous saris with beautiful rich colors for some of their photos. The two choices of clothing were a very nice contrast.

Here’s a selection from a session this week. Winter mini sessions are happening locally although it doesn’t feel much like winter yet! I thought these two children looked lovely in their chilly weather sweaters. I enjoyed capturing some portraits of them.

This really was a super session. These boys were great for the camera and their pet dog joined them for portraits too. I have to say for a two year old I have to give this dog ten out of ten for being so well behaved!

I thought I’d be sorry to see the end of the glorious fall color. In my backyard it’s been replaced with faded grass and big brown oak leaves. This year we let the grass grow in our vernal pond area and it’s made for a great setting. So it’s official, I LOVE BROWN. I am no longer going to feel sad when the fall color has gone!!

Looking at the first portrait (below), I’ve got a feeling that the youngest little guy in the family is going to think his two oldest brothers are the absolute best. He seemed to hang on their every word. I believe they were either talking or singing to him at the time!
I also picked out an individual portrait which doesn’t show a smile. There are always a variety of expressions in any given session. I’m often drawn toward images that are a bit more moody.

Casual candids were very much the theme for this session. We got some lovely moments during hugs and play with the little guy in this family. His sister was keen to explore the leaves at the start of the session too!
