Another Studio Session
Here’s a sneek peek from a recent session at the studio. It was great to see these three children again. They are growing up so fast!

I was spoiled for choice on what to blog from this session. I love photographing these two sisters. They are such fun. They came up with the idea of doing piggyback and it made for some great shots!
I had a fun time with this little guy. Just take a look at that beautiful smile. He needed some portraits for his model portfolio. He rather liked my wooden truck that I brought along and lucky for him there was lots of mud around for him to push it through! Despite all the dirt and puddles he kept his very smart outfit very clean. That’s pretty impressive for a two year old!
This little girl loves “styling” her own hair!! She must get plenty of inspiration from her Mom because I think this updo is the cutest EVER!
During yesterday’s shoot I asked this little guy to say something nice to his sister, to which he replied in a very matter of fact way,
“LIKE WHAT?”
I think I laughed as much as he did in this portrait! He had everyone else in the room laughing too!
But what a great brother he is and looking at this portrait with his lovely sister I don’t think he needed any words to show that!
My kids and I planned, baked and hosted an English Tea Party last week. The guest of honor was Dad! It was the icing on the cake to a nice February vacation. Mmm looking at this photo is making me feel rather hungry
Talking about icing on the cake here’s a view of my new studio. We are just about set but still have a few finishing touches to add or I should say we still need put the icing on the cake.
Here’s my welcome area where parents can relax whilst I photograph the children.
1) Work on my clients orders.
2) Finish refurbishing the studio. (It’s nearly done!)
3) Work on some personal black and white candid images. I just thought I’d share a couple here.
Showtime!!!
and here’s two companions hanging out together…
I really enjoyed my mini session in the snow yesterday. It was great meeting Mom and four delightful children. Unfortunately I can’t share the lovely images from the session because it’s a suprise gift for someone special. I can keep a secret! The portrait gallery for this session will be ready by the end of the day, Wednesday.
First of all I’d like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful New Year. Thank you to all my 2008 clients. It was wonderful working with you and I look forward to seeing some of you again this year.
I’m starting off the year with a photo from my new studio in Concord, which is currently being refurbished. I had plans to get some of this work done at the weekend but ended up getting a little distracted with my new camera. I’m glad I swapped picture taking for the paint brush. Here’s the end product of my digressions!
I will keep you posted about studio sessions when they become available.
Last year I was contacted by Jim Miotke, the owner of the BetterPhoto website. He asked to use some of my images in his latest photography guide book, “Photographing Children”, which I was more than happy to do as I’ve enjoyed entering the photography competitions on that site in the past. This book is great for anyone wanting to learn how to take improved photos of their children and is currently in the top 10 of photography books on Amazon.
