One of my sessions this week was with this delightful 18 month old girl. Children of this age love to explore anything that’s not near the photographer, eat and drink and have Mom or Dad close at hand so I took some extra time here to capture some special images. She even bought her own pail to put flowers in (and snacks too)!
I LOVED my time with this family yesterday evening. One of these little guys was a little shy about having his photos taken at first. However he really warmed to the camera as you can see here. Mom Dad and the boys were so natural in front of the camera. The boys were full of energy right up until the end of the session and Dad really had his hands full (as you can see in the last photo)!!
It has been just over a year since I photographed these two children. They are really growing up! Here’s a couple of picks from the mini session.
As the photographer I work hard to produce artistic portraits for my clients and the end results from any given session can be very rewarding. However it is equally thrilling to hear that both the parents and children who take part in one of my sessions enjoy the experience. I received a message this morning that these kids had a great time yesterday and that made my day!
After a difficult week with postponed sessions due to the weather this photo shoot made up for all that. Two lovely children, one wonderful setting and a golden Summer evening. We all left thinking that Fall is just around the corner.
These two darling sisters were dressed in lovely bright floral dresses for their session. I think the pinks were a perfect match for the cool grey colors on the porch. The youngest was 20 months old and for the longest time was happy to follow me around and sit down in any spot she deemed suitable for a photograph! Her eldest sister was very engaging too despite the very muggy hot morning weather. I hope she had lots of fun at her friend’s party!
I’ve kept the secret this long (and it’s been hard). Finally I get to share a few from this session. These are gifts for Dad for Father’s Day! I love working with these girls and this time round I got to meet their dogs too. I had a blast taking these photos. The puppy is a new addtion to the family and she thought it was just fine to climb onto my head as I was lying down taking the shots! Well it is often said animals are more unpredictable than toddlers when it comes to the camera.
Even after a long day at school these kids were still full of laughs. We had a lovely evening for this session, perfect for blowing dandelions! It was great meeting these charming children and Mom too.
I like to capture some special images of my own children each Spring, here’s my favorite portrait for this season. My youngest is now enjoying sharing a few jokes with her brother and this portrait really captures how their relationship has moved on. They are growing up oh so fast and I don’t know whether to laugh or cry when I look at this image!
Mom and Dad had the idea to bring along the heirloom wagon for this session. What a great idea that turned out to be. This cheerful little guy pictured below proved to be an expert wagon puller. With all his energy I do believe he could have pulled it all the way to Boston!
Here’s a couple of selections from a recent session with two year old twins. We had a bright warm evening and I really enjoyed my time with them. I just loved the garland of flowers in this little girl’s hair!
