It was a pleasure taking this family’s portraits. The 6 month old daughter did herself proud. She was quite the star. I used a rich red brocade as a backdrop for a few portraits. It made for a nice seasonal feel to the images. The little girl was so good we even popped her into one of my new tutus for the last shots of the session. I’m glad we did!
I loved photographing the three older sisters earlier in the Summer and now there are FOUR! Their youngest sister arrived just 5 days ago and what a little treasure she is.
So for Mom, here are my four portrait picks to get things rolling with regards to the birth announcements.
Here’s a selection from a recent studio session. A kiss and a look from the eldest brother was just enough to bring out adorable expressions from the little guy. A big thank you to the eldest brother for helping me get the attention of his sibling. He worked very hard as my assistant when he wasn’t in the portraits!
Fall has officially begun. This evenings shoot felt like it was the last hurrah to summer. It was a warm with beautiful light to match. I very much enjoyed my time capturing some moments between this mom and her 18 month old son. He was delightful.
Here’s a preview from a recent studio session with a 4 month old girl and her family. This is always a great age to hold a session after the newborn stage has passed. When babies can hold their heads up it always makes for some perfect portraits. This girl was rather adorable and it was a pleasure meeting mom and dad too.
I photographed the little guy in this family when he was a newborn. We decided he should come back for some portraits with his sisters when he was able to hold his head up steady. Doesn’t he look like he’s going to be well watched over by his sisters? I thought he would be putty in their hands but not so. He ruled the show here. In fact he was simply too strong to sit with his eldest sister and I only got a few seconds to shoot that set up. The girls came in very cute dresses so we did a few individual portraits too. The youngest always shows me some great expressions and the oldest is always a good helper. They are such fun to photograph.
It was great to see this little boy again. I photographed him as a newborn and he has really grown up! I captured some portraits of him one morning last week just before the heat of the day really set in.
On a very rainy Saturday morning it was a real treat to be inside and photographing this baby girl at the studio. She was super relaxed in front of the lights. I had a lot of fun and was glad we could acommodate Mom’s busy schedule. It was great meeting them both.
Last week, this little guy came to the studio……
with a very stylish cap.
He wore it for all of FIVE seconds. I’ll take five. Five is better than none and it was enough to capture a couple of lovely portraits including this one.
and then before I knew it the cap was gone!
